Houzz Pro alternatives for contractors
Houzz Pro is business software that you pay for each month, and Houzz says most plans are annual contracts. A directory listing is a different thing: a page about your business at a flat price, or free, with no contract. Below is what Houzz says about itself, then how a listing compares.

What Houzz does not say
Houzz Pro is software for running a business: estimates, invoices and project tools. It is not a lead service, and we found no page where Houzz says how many businesses a customer request goes to.
We also found no win rate and no refund rules on the pages we read. If you are weighing Houzz Pro up, ask Houzz for the Pro Services Agreement before you sign.
What that means for a small trade business
Houzz publishes its prices, and that is useful. The catch is the term. Houzz says most plans are annual 12-month contracts and that you will not be able to cancel early. So on those plans, plan for the monthly price times twelve.
Some businesses do well with it, especially ones that use the software every day. If you only want to be found by people in your town, you may not need a full software plan to do that.
Other ways to be found
A Google Business Profile is free and is the first thing to get right. It is what shows on the map when someone searches for your trade near them.
Your own website is the one place you fully control. Keep your name, address and phone number the same on it as everywhere else.
A local directory listing is a third. It is a page about your business in a guide to your town. Every business has a free listing, and the paid plans have no contract.
